Amway Charity Foundation (ACF) was established through a donation of RMB 100 million made by Amway (China) Co., Limited (hereinafter Amway China), the largest subsidiary of Amway Corporation. As one of the largest direct selling enterprises in the world, Amway Corporation was founded in 1959, whose business has spread to more than 80 countries and regions, with global sales amounting to USD 9.2 billion in 2010. Amway China opened its business in 1995, providing the consumers with over 220 kinds of quality products under five categories, such as Nutrilite food supplements, Artistry skincare and cosmetics, personal care products, household cleaning products and home tech products, and creating a flexible business opportunity through which any person can start his/her own business and succeed through opportunity and diligence. Amway China has boosted a steady growth, with annual sales amounting to RMB 21.9 billion in 2010, and was awarded as "Top 100 Enterprises with Foreign Investment" by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce for eight successive years.

Business aside, Amway China has been following Amway Corporation’s long-standing tradition of giving back to the society. With the efforts of the management team and led by Mrs. Eva Cheng, former Executive Vice President of Amway Corporation and Chairman of Amway China, Amway China has devoted itself to various charitable causes such as caring for children and advocacy for environmental protection; it has built a number of philanthropic initiatives with great social influence, including “Sunshine Project”, “Rainbow Project” and “Amway Environmental Theme Park”, and formed the largest corporate volunteers team in China with over 180 sub-groups and more than 60 000 registered volunteers. By the end of 2010, Amway China donated and sponsored a total amount of over RMB 510mn and participated in more than 6,500 charity activities.

As the inheritor of the of Amway China's CSR tradition, ACF will continue to operate and manage in a professional, transparent and efficient manner, gather the altruistic forces from various circles of the society to help make positive impacts on the groups in need. During its early years, ACF will focus on the issue of children of migrant workers, and through "Spring Sprout Project", "Rainbow Project" and "Sunshine Project", help provide better nutrition, improve the living and education environment of left-behind and migrant children, and foster a healthy and happy environment for them to grow.
