From Sept13 to 18, 2013, accompanied by Audie Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Amway Charity Foundation (ACF), Vincent Hwang, Vice Chairman of ACF, Frances Yu, Director-General of ACF and Liu Xiaolian, Deputy Director of China National Committee for the Care of Children (CNCCC), 13 donors to Spring Sprout Project including Jin Mei, Liu Depei, Liu Hong, Di Jin, Foo Howe Kean & Shu Chen, Liu Yi, Zhou Chaosheng, Sun Dong, Liang Dingsu, Lu Yongju, Wang Yingwu and Chen Laifa visited in two batches the Spring Sprout Kitchen in Liuli Village Primary School, Shaoyang County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province and E’hu Lake School, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen city, Jiangxi Province .

Donors visited newly-built Spring Sprout Kitchen in use, listened to kitchen administrators’ introduction to new facilities, and understood the operation and management of Spring Sprout Kitchen. After having lunch with students, donors donated teaching appliance such as desks, chairs, books, basketball, football to students and interacted with them.

During the return visit, donors learn by themselves how Spring Sprout Kitchen operated and witnessed the changes brought to students by this project. Donors showed that they would provide sustainable support to Spring Sprout Kitchens so as to contribute to the improvement of malnutrition of rural poor children. According to ACF, there will be more donors pay return visits to Spring Sprout Kitchens. Return visits help donors understand the progress of the projects they fund. This is also how we win the trust of donors by transparent operation.
